Steps VLCD21: Yahoo!

I think I may still be on protocol during my birthday, Feb 27th.

Just to review:
I'm testing out a new thing I've developed and it's going very well.  I'm making my own homeopathic HCG with a different potency level (LM), intended to work on a different "level" of body.  I've taken to calling the process the "Steps Program."  In fact, I moved to Step 4 yesterday and saw a 3.2# drop today and it's day 21 of VLCD!  In fact, up until I got a cold/flu thing, I was averaging 1.3# per day, and Mom was averaging .9# per day.  Those are significant when you compare them to our pre-StepsTesting averages of .9#/day (me) and .4#/day (Mom).

With those kinds of numbers, I think I may just extend this round until I can't stand it any more.  I suspect that will be a while, if I can keep the numbers up like this.  lol.  That's a real motivator to remain on Protocol.

With a 3.2# drop, I wonder if I need to "Step up" more frequently?  That number proves that it's entirely possible to lose at the same BIG rate of the first week.  That's what I want.  Not a little loss after a period of time - just big losses maintained for a short amount of time, then go through P3 and P4 and stay there for a while.  :)

Testing: Step1 Notes

First day of loading and I'm not hungry from the get-go.  I took my Step1 dose this morning and am due for my second one right now.  I'm NOT doing very good with the loading thing.  :(  I'll have to start force-feeding myself.  ::blech::

So far today, I'm at only 30oz 1/2 and 1/2 (two breves) and that's it.  Only 90g of fat.  Considering the goal is -at the very least- 300g, I'm way behind schedule.

::sighs::  Time to make myself feel green.

Testing report

Tomorrow begins VLCD again. And I've got a whole separate test to go with it. lol. I have suspicions on what it's going to do, as I'm doing some pretty extreme alkalinizing, but I'll keep track of what it's doing in conjunction with HCG and report back. :)

Incidentally, this is me testing inside testing inside testing. :) So, I've got the RoundSet testing I'm doing (this is Round3.VLCD.3) as well as extreme alkalinizing. Then, when the stall out hits, I'm going to switch to a whole different method of "VLCD" that I've got testing with some pretty great results.

So, serious testing going on right here! hahaha! I'm ok with this, though, because I've already got documented results from VLCD.1 and VLCD.2 to compare with VLCD.3 so I can sort out the actual results of the extreme alkalinizing. Then, I've got one set of results to compare the "VLCD" and sort out the different results there, too.

However, I AM doing what I normally don't do - which is double or triple test.

As soon as I've got duplicates of "VLCD," I'll let you all in on what myself and those testing with me are doing. It seems to be a 50-50 shot right now, though, so I'm trying to figure out why it's only working for 1/2 of us. I'm wondering if it's got something to do with Blood Type Eating. What I mean by that is that some of us do brilliantly with Atkins, for instance, while others of us just feel terrible doing Atkins.

I do brilliantly with Atkins. Mom doesn't. I got great results with this "VLCD" testing while Mom didn't. It's a guess at this point, though, so don't read too much into it! :)

And, of course, I'll let you all in on a few of the other tests and results that I'm still doing a little sorting out on. So much to report back, so little time to type it! lol.

TestV06o is today

Keep your fingers crossed for me on the scale tomorrow - I'm doing another test! :)

P2: TestV15o

Tonight, I'm testing out a theory of mine. It's off the historic protocol, so I'm a little nervous, but am also fairly confident in this. ::crosses fingers and toes and arms and legs and eyes::

How do you read that test name? Well, it's Test VLCD #15 Off protocol. :) Yah, I have over 15 tests to test out this round.

The first one I tested, TestV08o, returned a 2# loss the next day and a 1.8# loss the following. :) Yae! I call that one a personal success, but I'll be looking for someone else to test it out pretty soon. Any takers?

The "Test" Revealed!! Apple/Cheese Day!

So, today on Facebook, our blog and everywhere else I've been yammering about this "test" thing I've got going on, I'm revealing what the "test" was! The response from all of you was incredible and I'm truly thankful for each one of you in my life. Really, really.

What's the test? An Apple/Cheese Day. And we've seen results ranging from 1.6# to 3.2# lost for our friends testing with us... Yae all of us!! And Yae, YOU, too, because I've posted it out here for you to read and try at your leisure...

I've got four other tests going on, one of which includes using the Apple/Cheese Day to see if I can further reduce in P4. I'm trying it every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday except during my menses, which is a time when NOTHING works for me. :) :(

Test: Report from Emily

Another of my friends reported in this morning (thank you Emily!) that she experienced a 2.4# weight release when she went through the test parameters... Great news that three of us are getting the similar results with this!! I'm so excited to have a new tool in my toolbox! If nothing else, it could be used in place of the steak day to keep the weight stable.

I'm a self professed close observer of life as well as a self-experimenter when I like the observations I'm making.

I like options.

Blew my own Test Day

Yesterday was Thursday - test parameter day! I was doing great with it until the pipes in the bathroom froze completely up and then one of the joints opted to give way. :( Broken pipes in 0* weather is NOT fun to work on.

At any rate, those are fixed, thanks to my Uncle T coming out and working on them with me (ok, I worked with him - he was lead, cuz while there's 50# less of me, there's still a lot of me and I can't get through the crawl space hole!) until 3 this morning!

Along about 1:00, after 6 hours of being out in the cold, we were both hungry and trying to warm up. I made some chicken sausages in a bun for Uncle T and I had just the chicken sausages. I don't know if that caused the complete mess up or if it was the ... um... NO WATER or it could have even been the being out in the cold and my body thinking it needs to go into STORE THE FAT mode.

Really, it could even be the lack of sleep. I'm *always* in bed by 10:00pm at the latest. Last "night," 4:00am. I don't do well without my sleep, but I think I do worse without water! Hahahaha! But I wasn't about to go to bed with cobwebs in my hair when I had a tub and lovely hot water to bathe in. I had to bathe in luke warm water until my skin stopped stinging after being so cold for so long. I'm gonna *have* to invest in some Carhart bib overalls, you know? I don't really want to buy any clothing right now, though, cuz I expect there to be even less of me than now in just a few short months. Carharts are expensive, too. So, I guess I'll just suffer through that until I'm small enough to fit into the crawl space hole. THEN I'll get the Carharts. A gift for myself? ::grins::

Regardless, even after my test day, I'm .2# heavier than yesterday. I've also got a lot of water I'm retaining. That could be the cold, no water, or it could even be that I bruised up my knees so bad that I can't even use them to get onto my bed without wincing.

With all of those things combined, I'm not really surprised to see the scale this morning tell me that I'm not allowed to lose. :) Maybe, if I drink enough water today, I'll see the results tomorrow, though?

Today, I'm just going to eat normally, drink gobs of water, go to bed early, and recover.

Test: Report from Stephanie

I've only had one person report in (thank you Stephanie!) that she also experienced a 3# weight release when she went through the test parameters... Great news that two of us are getting the same results doing the same thing!

My test results

From my test yesterday, I've dropped yet another 3# (3.2# each time, for precision). There was only one day between the two drops - where I ate pretty much whatever I wanted to eat, too.

I'm still awaiting the results from friends who volunteered to test with me (they're all in P3 or P4) and I'm quite excited to see their results! If the test results for me are 3# loss both times, it makes me wonder about continued release in P3/P4. Who knows? Maybe I'll be able to get to 260 before I start my next round! If I can get there, I'd be able to release another 50# in P2 and be at 210 by my birthday, February 27th. Now that's impressive. Really impressive. Especially if you consider I started at 332# the end of August. That'd be ... ::think, think, think:: 122# in 5 months.

I'd plan to do this every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, but the other days would be free reign. Of course, I'd keep things under control - no running out to eat at restaurants every meal or anything crazy like that, but still. It's intriguing that I might be able to get almost the same results from doing this test that I'd get doing the VLCD and HCG; most interesting and intriguing. The main benefit from the HCG round, of course, would be the stability and reset of the hypothalamus once I got to the other side.

Maybe I need to just follow the every other day thing until I get down to 180#, then do a second round of HCG so my hypothalamus is completely reset at the weight I get to at the end of that second round.

Hmm. It'll certainly depend on the results I get from continuing this little test, but it's worth a shot!

3# under LDW

Today, I got up and found a very pleasant surprise... But I have to start with yesterday so you can see why it was such a pleasant surprise. Here's the foods I ate yesterday:

2 20oz cups of coffee with 8oz half-n-half
soup bowl of taco soup with sour cream and cheese on top (I'll get that recipe up for you a little later)
2 apples
2oz yellow sharp chedder
2oz white dubliner's cheese
120oz water

Pretty junky, right?

So, you can see why I was so surprised at my -3# difference this morning, right? I ended the night this way (already included in my list): 1 apple, then the cheeses, 1 more apple, then 2 no bake cookies. I highly suspect that the apple/cheese combo is what did it for me, though the no bakes have a LOT of peanut butter in them. They also have a LOT of sugar in them...

It's just something I've observed. It prompted me to put together a small test (just four people - 3 women and 1 man). TODAY is the test. If it works, I'll post what we did so you can try it out, too. Wish us luck!
