Book is DONE!!

Wheeeeeee! Our cookbook is finished! Well, the ebook is finished, anyway. We're still looking for someplace to have it printed at a reasonable cost. $40 for a cookbook is just too much, in our opinion. You can go get it RIGHT HERE!

Looking at CreateSpace, as suggested by Amazon, we'd have to price the printed book at $40, though, just to make a $2-3 profit on each book! Printing costs are outlandish, so we figured we'd just keep looking and release our ebook at $24.95. :)

It's beautiful and we're (Mom and I) quite proud of the final result. There's a lot more in it than on my blog right now. Of course, that probably has something to do with us still cooking P2 meals while in P3, then doubling them up and adding cheese to it. Hahahaha!

So, how are we getting it out to the public? Well... We've got it on Lulu.com, the same place as the BM audio file I uploaded there to help with "getting you moving" during Phase II, for now. We're looking for someplace better, but this will take care of the automatically getting the cookbook to you immediately! That's important, if you're already in Phase II and find that you just GOTTA have something you saw in our index.

  1. Hi there! Great blog! I have a question for you. I am on Round 2 Phase 3 Day 2. My first round I stabilized from day 1 and never went above LIW. Well over the last 3 days of no shot/500 cal my weight went-.2, 0.0, +.6 and then the morning of my first P3 it was already up +1.2 and then this morning +2.0! I did not eat anything that would create a problem. And last night I went to take off my pants only to find that they were stuck to me. I had been feeling "fatter" all day! Well, I looked down and my legs were SWOLLEN and I had no ankles!! Just like at the end of my pregnancies. I am assuming this is the hunger edema protein deficiency. I noticed you talked about this on day 9. Did you get the swelling? Did it go away? Did this cause stabilization problems? Sorry to ask so many questions, but this really freaked me out, and felt like crying this morning. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My name is jennifer. I am at myhcgstory.blogspot.com.
    Thanks!

  2. Hi Jen,

Thanks for the encouragement on the blog - I work hard at it! :)

    K, Round 2. Phase 3, Day 2. Got it.

Swollen legs like that definitely fits the description of hunger edema protein deficiency that Dr. Simeon gave, and it fits the right time frame, too.

"During treatment the patient has been only just above the verge of protein deficiency and has had the advantage of protein being fed back into his system from the breakdown of fatty tissue. Once the treatment is over there is no more hCG in the body and this process no longer takes place. Unless an adequate amount of protein is eaten as soon as the treatment is over, protein deficiency is bound to develop, and this inevitably causes the marked retention of water known as hunger- edema."

Since you're at the 2# mark, you should follow his advice about correcting this. It worked like a charm for me. It wasn't hard, and I've not had any problems with it since then.

"The treatment is very simple. The patient is told to eat two eggs for breakfast and a huge steak for lunch and dinner followed by a large helping of cheese and to phone through the weight the next morning. When these instructions are followed a stunned voice is heard to report that two lbs. have vanished overnight, that the ankles are normal but that sleep was disturbed, owing to an extraordinary need topass large quantities of water. The patient having learned this lesson usually has no further trouble."

Note the use of the words HUGE and LARGE. :) Get a couple really thick steaks and eat at least 4 ounces of good, hard cheese. (My favorite is the extra sharp white chedder and I love the Kerrygold Dubliner cheese, too.)

  3. Thanks for responding! I am trying this today and will let you know what the morning brings. It is so frustrating to feel like you are doing exactly what you are supposed to, but your body just does something else :) I am trying to keep my head up and have faith that it will correct itself tomorrow. I have had such amazing results, and the thought of losing any of that progress is devastating.

  4. Yah, I know just what you mean! When I went into P3, I decided to go *heavy* on the meat and cheese. It was only when I went back to eating like I was a rabbit that I got into trouble (almost all veggies, the whole day - no meats, no cheeses).

As soon as I got the protein back into my system, I've had no problems at all. :) Just be sure to keep that protein in your system!

  5. Well, I did the steak and cheese day. I lost 1.4 lbs this morning. But am still .6 above LIW. Not too bad. I had hoped it would lose the whole 2 lbs and go back to LIW like it said in the book. Oh well. I will keep my protein high. I am very good about that. But I had only been on P3 for one day when it happened. And I did eat good protein that day.
Thanks for all of your help. Very stressful day yesterday... :)
