Well, I was away from home all day yesterday. I didn't do the steak day, as I was supposed to! However, I drank so much water I felt like I should have had on a swim suit. :)
This morning, when I got on the scale, even without the steak, I was back within my LIW limits. On the high side, but still within the 2# limit. :) Steak Day avoided, but only because I drank so much water and ate like I was following P3 with lots of veggies and protein.
You *can,* even if it's not in the P&I book, avoid a steak day on P4 by increasing your water intake to your weight in ounces * .75. So, if your weight is 200, multiply that by .75 and drink 150 ounces of water during the day. Follow the P3 outlines, going heavy on the meats.
For me, it did basically the same thing as a Steak Day. Maybe it will for you, maybe it won't... But it's something you can put in your back pocket and try, should you need to.
